Hand-painted advertisement painting on side of new coffee shop in Chiayi City is attrating attention nationwide -- even worldwide via Twitter -- since the man in the painting looks like 金城武 to some people who have seen the painting and also because people are not sure if the man is smelling something with his nose close to the pitcher of milk or if he is sniffing SOMETHING-- impossible in Taiwan! -- or what exactly he is doing with his nose so close to his fingers and his hand! What do YOU think? 金城武

it's a handpainted advertisement painting on the side of a new coffee shop in Tawian near my home. i saw the man painting it last week. I think the boss gave him a glossy photo of some magazine ad like in GQ or something and told the man to copy the photo for the wall painting, ...BUt....as the man was painting it on a ladder. he must have foreshortened the 3d elements of the barista and the pot of milk he was pouring in to the coffee so it looks like he is snorting SOMETHING! CUTe?

When I asked them if Takeshi Takemura was the model for the paintings here outside wall, they said "No, not exacttly, we just used out imagination, but some people have mentioned Takeshi's name to us, too. But no, we did not model the model in the painting after Takeshi. It is just a coincidence."

''ha, great painting! I wonder if it was intentional or an accident because they started from the bottom and made the hands too big? Maybe he was cold and wanted to warm his face with the steam from the warm frothy milk? ''

I think it is unintended, as in a poor illustration and perspective, but yes, it does beg a few questions.........

Yes, I agree.., It looked kinda funny.

Does seem he's blowing something... or conversely could be seem like inhaling some substance (gaseous ? powdery ?) through his cupped hand... and up his nostril (to get high ??)
